Epoxy Foams
One of the only products on the market which has the following characteristics:
- Produces a closed cell foam from a two part epoxy system
- Available in 4 standard densities
- Low expansion pressure
- Can be used in-situ
- Finished parts can be used under water
- Can be used in a continuous process
- Can be coloured

PB 170, PB 250, PB 400 & PB 600 / DM 0
Closed cell foam production epoxy systems from 170 to 600 kg / m3
The PB 170 / DM 0x, PB 250 / DM 0x, PB 400 / DM 0x & PB 600 / DM 0x systems are two part epoxy formulations which produce closed cell low density foams.
The densities obtained are respectively about 170, 250, 400 and 600 kg / m3 (open mould expansion)
The resulting foam is white but can be coloured with epoxy compatible pigments.
The hardener modifies the curing time and reachable thickness.
The mix evolves in two steps:
A rapid expansion.
A slow hardening of the foam.
Performances
Results in a low density foam.
No use of fillers such as microballoons.
Two part system.
Adheres to numerous materials.
Can be poured onto and co-cured with prepregs or other epoxy laminates.
Uniform density.
Excellent resistance to water.
Does not contain CFC’s.
Applications
Production of epoxy foam.
Core material which can be produced “in-situ”.
Buoyancy.
Adding density to honeycombs in local areas.
Thermal insulation.
Making foam blocks to be machined or sculpted (models).
Shims.
PB 250 / SD 560 Resilient ambient curing epoxy foam
The PB 250 / SD 560x system is a two part epoxy formulation which produces closed cell low density foam.
The density obtained is approximately 275 kg / m3 (open mould expansion)
The resulting foam is white but can be coloured with compatible epoxy pigments.
The hardener modifies the curing time and attainable thickness.
The mix evolves in two steps:
A rapid expansion.
A slow hardening of the foam.
Simple 1 to 1 volume ratio.
This system allows to obtain resilient foams with better flexural elongation without requiring any post curing cycles.
Performances
Results in a low density foam.
No use of fillers such as microballoons.
Two part system.
Can bond numerous materials including wet surfaces.
Shims.
PB 270 i & PB 370 i Self extinguishing 2 component epoxy foaming system
The PB 270 i / DM 0x & PB 370 i / DM 0x systems are two part epoxy formulations which produce fireproof closed cell low density foams.
The densities obtained are respectively about 270 and 370 (open mould expansion)
The resulting foam is white but can be coloured with epoxy compatible pigments.
The hardener modifies the curing time and reachable thickness.
The mix evolves in two steps:
A rapid expansion.
A slow hardening of the foam.

PB 350 S Foaming epoxy system for sprayable application
The PB 350 S / SD 1249.17 system is a two component formulation, devoted to low density epoxy foam production sprayed with static mixer.
The foam has a density of about 350 kg /m3 after free expansion.
This system can be tinged with epoxy compatible pigment.
Mixes evolve in two times :
Quick expansion
Quick hardening
Performance
Low density foams
No handling of fillers such as microballoons
Two component system, 2 / 1 volume ratio
